The Story of Man...

...is different for everyone. Here's one of them.

At the beginning of time, the Great Lion created the world. With a mighty roar, he created all of life. Day by day, he made the sky and seas. The sun and moon. The plants and animals. Man and Woman. He created a paradise for his creations, a city of peace and happiness, The Garden. All the Great Lion's creations could live in his kingdom of prosperity, under the rule that they not touch the Tree of Knowledge.

They lived happily, until the Deceptive Snake tricked Woman into disobeying the Great Lion. He promised her knowledge, wisdom of the secrets that had been kept from her. She and Man took a bite of the Forbidden Fruit, and their eyes opened with disillusion. The Great Lion banished the couple from his kingdom, and the two left The Garden forever.

Man and Woman then had sons, and those sons had children, and so on and so on for many generations. The world was filled with people, but with the knowledge they had learned from their first parents, life was not full of happiness and peace. Evil and wickedness had entered the minds of the lion's creations.

The Great Lion, angered by this, sent a purifying wave across the lands, killing everyone except one man and his family, who had been chosen to restart mankind. Generations passed, and once again, the world was filled with people. They lived in different countries and nations. They spoke different languages and wore different clothes. Cultures were divided, cultures were formed.

Mankind has progressed through history since then. Throughout time, they gained knowledge and power. Cities were built, cities were destroyed. Rulers rose, rulers fell. Humans were good, humans were bad.

The Great Lion saw what was happenign with his creations. A Hero was sent, and everyone was saved from immorality. People remembered the Great Lion, and praised him. Thanked him and the Hero for everything they had done.

Life went on. Beliefs changed, new intelligence gained, attitudes differed. Society grows, changes, evolves...and now we reach the present. This day, this time.

Birth. Life. Death. For this world, the cycle does not end until the Great Lion commands it. This is a story with no ending.
